When life gives you lemons

When life gives you lemons, you make lemonade. Ah, I wish it was easy as that but its not. There are so many moments in life where you just don't know what to do. I'm sure at some point in life you too have experienced this hopelessness when faced with some nagging stuff. However here's the good thing out of all this, you move pass it.

That in itself is a blessing.

Our ability to take whatever shit life throws at us and see the light. We think, we learn and we become a little more knowledgeable for the next crappy experience that we're bound to receive. It's going to happen to every single person. Too bad we can't create a force field around us where every single insult and bad experience just boomerangs to the sender.  Oh, just the thought is enough. A funny thing is that when I was reading one of my Psychology books there was something about how people tend to believe that more good things will happen to them rather than the bad. This is so true. I'm guilty of this myself.

Always having the perception that good things will happen to you is fine but it’s not the best thing because for obvious reasons you start to believe and expect that good things are bound to happen and when they don’t, it leads to greater disappointment and you might start cursing the world. Another terrible thing that accompanies disappointment is the lack of motivation. It’s very, very easy to drown in that lack of motivation and you open your mind to all sorts of negative thoughts and thinking, which eventually leads to negative thoughts continuing to manifest. So, it’s basically like a downward spiral. Soon you might get sucked up into that negative tidal wave.

But, there’s hope.

As cheesy as that sounds, hope is a strong emotion. For some it’s hard to escape that feeling of hope and to be honest who would ever want to escape the feeling of hope. It’s something that wraps you a blanket, hands you a cup of hot cocoa and tells you that everything will work out. It pats you head and says, you’ve got me buddy. Hang in there! And this little ray of sunshine is what helps you move along in life when bad things happen. The idea of hope that pushes you forward to keep living and say, I can do this. No, I will do this.

No matter what comes your way, no matter how bad it is, grab onto that feeling of hope and hug the life out of it. Don’t be afraid of trying new things either. If you downright fail or embarrass yourself while doing this new thing, shrug it off and get on with the next thing. Life isn’t meant to be sweating over the small things.

Find that little ray of light to lead you out of the dark tunnel.

So, when life gives you lemons, you make lemonade.
