Movie Experience

Image
Is it really better to have any excitement and expectations for a movie or simply have no at all? On one hand, being excited makes you all riled up and ready to take the movie on while on the latter, you're saving yourself from all the disappointment in case the movie down right sucks. Yes, being excited for a movie has its perks but then again not being excited has its own perks too. The question now is what do we do about it. I'm guessing the right and most reasonable solution to the problem would be too have a little excitement and very little expectations. The funny thing is sometimes our brains and bodies does the complete opposite of what we want. Although the feeling of being excited and having loads of excitement which then turns to be completely right is quite a good feeling. But then again, the opposite makes you think, what the hell am I watching. Sometimes it's like a lucky packet. You can't really predict how a movie is going to be until you watch it...

If Only Studying Was As Easy As Singing A Song

Image
Oh boy, studying. It's funny how when you're approaching a new semester and you're all excited about studying and finally having something to do, but then all of a sudden when the time comes you suddenly find yourself having to a dozen other things and well that poor books get neglected and then exams are fast approaching like a sudden thunderstorm and the next thing you know, you don't even want to hear the word studying because your head feels like its going to explode. Whew. Deep breath in, deep breath out. Yup, that's studying for you. Oh should I rephrase? It's more like not studying and then dealing with the pressure of those actions. I'd like to think of myself as good at studying but then when actually writing the paper, suddenly all the information flies over my head. I'm sure there was a time for you when you're sitting with your pen raised to attack that question but then the next thing you know, you suddenly can't find the wo...

The Gluten Free Lifestyle

Image
Never in a thousand years would I have ever wished a  gluten free lifestyle  on anyone. Ever since being diagnosed with the condition that doesn't allow me to eat the precious gluten, life has not been a fun ride. A manageable one but definitely not an enjoyable one. I mean, I love food. No wait, allow me to be specific. I love baked things. Cakes, chocolates, donuts, cupcakes, scorns, name anything that has wheat in it and that's my true love. No kidding. Back in school, I used to buy a kitkat every single day and catch a quick bite during class every time the teacher looks away. Fun times. It all started with the stomach pains. I'm going to get real here for a second. It hurt like a read biatch. I swear. And to top that off, add in the non stop vomiting. Yep, non stop till like two in the morning for a week. It was that bad. I couldn't keep food or tablets in. And oh boy, the nausea. All round, I can honestly say it was the worst time in my entire life and I ju...

When life gives you lemons

Image
When life gives you lemons, you make lemonade. Ah, I wish it was easy as that but its not. There are so many moments in life where you just don't know what to do. I'm sure at some point in life you too have experienced this hopelessness when faced with some nagging stuff. However here's the good thing out of all this, you move pass it.  That in itself is a blessing.  Our ability to take whatever shit life throws at us and see the light. We think, we learn and we become a little more knowledgeable for the next crappy experience that we're bound to receive. It's going to happen to every single person. Too bad we can't create a force field around us where every single insult and bad experience just boomerangs to the sender.  Oh, just the thought is enough. A funny thing is that when I was reading one of my Psychology books there was something about how people tend to believe that more good things will happen to them rather than the bad. This is so tru...
