The Gluten Free Lifestyle
Never in a thousand years would I have ever wished a gluten free lifestyle on anyone. Ever since being diagnosed with the condition that doesn't allow me to eat the precious gluten, life has not been a fun ride. A manageable one but definitely not an enjoyable one. I mean, I love food. No wait, allow me to be specific. I love baked things. Cakes, chocolates, donuts, cupcakes, scorns, name anything that has wheat in it and that's my true love. No kidding. Back in school, I used to buy a kitkat every single day and catch a quick bite during class every time the teacher looks away. Fun times.
It all started with the stomach pains. I'm going to get real here for a second. It hurt like a read biatch. I swear. And to top that off, add in the non stop vomiting. Yep, non stop till like two in the morning for a week. It was that bad. I couldn't keep food or tablets in. And oh boy, the nausea. All round, I can honestly say it was the worst time in my entire life and I just wanted all the pain to stop.
So, I ended up in at the doctors and he said to cut out all wheat and gluten since both my brother and mother can't eat it either (yay genetics -_-) and after I cut it out, turns out all the pain disappeared. So that was settled. It's been tough living the gluten-free life but it's just something that needs to be accepted and life moves on. It's not such a bad thing though since I'm really grateful not be feeling sick anymore. I'd take a healthy lifestyle any day over a painful one.
However, cutting all wheat and gluten does not mean everything is going to be fine. In order to be at the best position that you can, make sure to eat well. And when I mean well, I'm talking about the
green juice,
green tea, and
all things green.
It's better to be healthy than suffer throughout your youth.
